Happy Halloween!

We had another successful year of trick-or-treating and candy gorging. It was surprisingly warm so the kids could actually show off their costumes! Most of my memories of Halloween when I was a kid included several layers of clothing, a coat, gloves, hat, boots, and snow coming down. As a result I have always associated Halloween with the end of fall and the beginning of winter..... I'm not ready for that yet.

P.S. Baby #1 is Trent and Baby #2 is Caden.

Baby #1Baby #2

As Caden has gotten older he has started to look more and more like his big brother. I was going through some old pictures and have a little quiz for everyone. Above you will see baby #1 and baby #2. One is Trent, one is Caden. See if you can guess who is who (I'll give you the answer later!)

The Halloween frenzy has begun in our house. Tonight we went to a 'Fall Festival' at the library. They had arts and crafts, a costume parade, Halloween story time, and of course candy! I forgot the diaper bag, part of Caden's costume, and the camera; so I'm sorry no pictures. I promise to take some tomorrow. Although, Trent is dressing up as a Bronco Player again so you can look at last years picture:) and Caden is going to be Dale Jr. so you can look at Trent's Halloween picture from three years ago:)

I decided to start this blog to share pictures, stories, and happenings with our family and friends. I figure that it is an easy way for those who wish to check in on us to learn about what the latest happenings are. Additionally, I will stop flooding your e-mails with pictures, just feel free to check in whenever you would like to see the cutest boys in the universe.

Yesterday, Taylor took Trent to play a 'round' of golf. They played about 7 holes and then got a bit to cold. Taylor said that on the way home Trent asked, "What do you think Jesus does up in Heaven?" Taylor asked if he thought maybe he played golf? Trent responded, "There aren't golf courses in Heaven." When Taylor asked why, Trent said, "Oh, yeah, there are probably a lot of golf courses in Heaven, but I don't really want to go to Heaven because it will take too long to get there in our space ship". Where do they come up with this stuff?

Caden is teething like mad, he broke three teeth through last weekend in about 24 hours. Poor little guy. He is also starting to get an opinion about things. So long quiet baby who never cries, hello back arching temper tantrums. I do feel bad for him though, when he teethes he gets a terrible diaper rash. Using cloth diapers definitely helps but right now even that doesn't seem to be helping him.

Last week was my fall break and we managed to get out of the house quite a bit. The picture above was from our trip to the Littleton Historical Museum. It is a favorite outing for the boys (and me because it is free!) They had a great pumpkin patch and there was a small haystack maze that the boys had fun in.
